The last of its kind, a very sturdy Alto with juicy and powerful sound, great intonation all the way to the top and ideal for flute ensemble or solo work, it incorporates all the modifications that Albert Cooper has made to many Mönnig instruments. A curved head can reduce the strain on your shoulders considerably but the sound quality and intonation in the high register is not quite as good as with the straight head. If you trend to feel the strain in your shoulders it may be prudent to have a curved head as well.
