Children come in different sizes. Now, so do bassoons, oboes and clarinets! You are never to young to play on your own tiger!
Guntram Wolf's new Kinder Harmony children's reed instruments revive the Renaissance tradition of the dulcian and chalumeau to bring new musical instrument options to Australian children.
They form an ensemble together because the full range of instruments are produced in three keys - C, F and G. For students who wish to graduate to full-size bassoons at around age 12-13, Kinder Harmony bassoons are the ideal instrument to begin with at an early age. The octave bassoon can be played from age four onwards.
Kinder Harmony instruments are distributed in Australia exclusively through Magic Flutes International.
There are seven instruments to choose from, with varying possibilities for keywork - three bassoons, two oboes and two clarinets. They are available in natural or tiger design.
